Legendary skater Keith Hufnagel and his brand/store HUF has teamed up with New Balance USA to create a very nice version of the RC205. The RC205 is a super comfortable and ultra lightweight runner perfect for marathons and other street activities. Named after the time 2:05:38. The time it took NB athlete Khalid Khannouchi to break the Marathon World Record in London 2002.
Keith says this about the 205: “-205 was chosen due to the style being reissued by NB, not a typically collaborated model, and due to the heritage and authenticity for NB.
The colorway is inspired by 80's skate graphics and colors. That's why we went with the bold hot magenta accents and reflective materials. We wanted the shoe to have a touch of a throw back 80's element."
HUF also teamed up with snowboard brand 686 on a snowboard boot using the same colors, but that's another story.
The RC205HUF will be available in very limited numbers at Sneakersnstuff soon. The price will be 899 SEK.
