Here´s a few nice shots of a brand new colorway of the iconic adidas Handball Spezial from 1979. Shoes with the name adidas Spezial or Special has always been around. Probably since day one, however the earliest shoe we´ve seen with the name adidas Special is from 1952.
The one thing all Spezial shoes got in common is that they´re manufactured for a specific sport. It can be everything from javelin shoes to ice skates. In this case the sport in question is handball.
adidas Handball Spezial in the classic royal blue/white colorway is, over thirty years later, still very popular amongst handball players just because they´re famous for being super comfortable.
These lovely black/yellow Spezials from the adidas Fall/Winter 2011 collection got the same fantastic fit. They´ve got the same premium pig skin suede upper, the same superior arch support and the´ve got that classic gumsole.
