New Black SS13 drops soon

New Black is back with the new SS13 collection. The collection has, as always, its focus on the graphics. This collection has been inspired by American pop and sports culture, European high-end fashion and nature. In SS13 you will find influences from Grandmaster Flash, Nas, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, Naughty by Nature, Christian Dior, Wu-Tang Clan, jaguar fur, plane tree bark and Jordan sneakers.

The Heritage Collection by New Black

The new collection from the Swedish brand New Black are now available both online and in store at Sneakersnstuff. This is what New Black has to say about the collection:

”When we grew up the word streetwear did not exist. Back then it was all about sports team apparel, work wear and over sized basic garments. The snapback hats, printed t-shirts, baseball jackets, hoodies and beanies were designed for sports fans and blue collar workers. The shape of the clothes and hats made it clear that they had not been designed to fit teenage kids. None the less we all wore them.

For this collection we have made some of the most common styles within street wear today, but we chose to stay true to what we think made these garments into classics. We made them in the classic way - basic with extra attention to detail. This is our heritage collection - inspired by the past, made to fit today.”

Releasefest - New Blacks x Ayla

Ayla is a crew consisting of rappers Stor and Carlito, rap duo Mohammed Ali and producer Mack Beats. The crew came together in Visättra outside of Stockholm back in 2007, and since then the members have become some of Sweden’s most interesting artists.

Ayla and streetwear label New Black teamed up to design a limited crewneck. The sweatshirt comes in two different colorways and will be sold at Sneakersnstuff and newblack.se starting December 16.

In an exclusive four episode web series we get to follow hip-hop collective Ayla and its members in their everyday life. The fourth episode spotlights producer Mack Beats who recently released the single ”I centrum” and who will release his album in the beging of 2013.
